Angelica Yanez, RN – Director of Nurses

Angelica has been with Renaissance since 2003. She started as a CNA while still in nursing school and has worked her way up to the Director of Nursing. During her time here she has worked as a QMA, floor nurse, charge nurse, unit supervisor, and resident care coordinator. Angelica has a great passion for the elderly.

Barbara Wallace, LPN, RAC/CT – MDS Coordinator

Barbara has been at The Village since 2010 after being recruited from another facility where she had worked for 10 years. Barbara has worked in many different areas of the nursing field such as schools, hospitals, military and prisons, but says her true passion is long term care. Barbara truly loves her position of MDS Coordinator; she states it is a very challenging position and that “it works well with my type A personality.”

Mary Walters, CDM, CFPP – Dietary Manager

Mary has many years of experience in the health care field including working at Renaissance Village since opening in 1988.  Mary puts the utmost care and knowledge into implementing individual dining plans for each client. She enjoys working with our residents to obtain new menu ideas and planning special functions.

Denise Porter – Business Office Manager

Denise has worked at The Village since 1989.  She began her career working in the HR department before moving into Medical Records where she quickly organized that department into shape.  She took over the position of Business Office Manager in 2015.  Denise enjoys hearing all the experiences our residents share in their stories of life and even had two of her own family members stay with us here at Renaissance Village. 

Judy Miles, MSW, LSW – Social Services Director

Judy has been with Renaissance Village since the doors opened in 1988. She has her undergraduate degree in Social Work along with an Associate’s Degree in Gerontology. She completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work and Gerontology in 1993 and became a Licensed Social Worker the same year. Judy loves spending time with her children and our residents.

Cindy has been a member of The Village family since 2000. She worked in Laundry, Housekeeping, and Maintenance before finding her true calling as our Activities Director. She loves spending time with her residents and planning parties for them.

Steve Thacker – Environmental Services Manager

Steve started working at The Village in 2010 as a CNA. He now keeps the building in tip-top shape. Steve loves our residents and always makes time to stop and speak with them or help out when needed.

Jen Boylan – Rehab Director

Jen graduated from Purdue in 2000 with a degree in Interior Design. In 2009 she decided to switch careers into the occupational therapy field. She enjoys working with stroke and traumatic brain injury patients and helping individuals rehab back to their homes.
